Bring your lunch

Eating habits are extremely important when losing weight or trying to stay fit when you are over 40. I know with our busy schedules it is hard to bring your lunch to work. We often eat out or go to the vending machine. Try preparing at least two meals for lunch on a Sunday night. This will help you control the bad eating habits. One quick idea, is to bring a salad to work it takes little of no time to prepare. You can even buy skinless chicken strips and saute for about 5 to 10 minutes and add to your salad for a healthy lunch. I like to keep items such as granola bars, yogurt and fruit for breakfast options. This way you can avoid unhealthy eating and keep your money in your pocket. Remember when you are over 40 you must eat healthy because our bodies does not digest food like it did when we were 20. So start shopping and packing your lunch!

Over 40 and need to lose weight?

Some of us think it is impossible to get the body you want at age forty. This is far from being true. You just have to modify and make some small changes. Add exercise to your daily routine at least three times a week for at least 30 to 45 minutes each session. Once you get used to it you can add more days or bump up your routine to 60 minutes each session. The main objective here is to get moving. You also will need to change your eating habits, instead of 3 big meals a day what about 6 small meals. For example, eat 1 piece of dry toast with a yogurt and a small piece of fruit and you have your breakfast meal. Remember to lose weight you must burn more calories than you comsume. If you stick to small meals through out the day you will not be hungry and over eat. Stay tuned for a list of small meals you can enjoy without over eating.
